Note: Shipping is based upon the estimated weight of each item plus the box it will ship in and the packing materials that will be used inside the package. A small amount of the cost helps to offset the cost of those materials, i.e., bubble wrap, peanuts, padded envelopes, postal labels, etc. Since most of what I sell is either breakable/crushable or otherwise capable of being destroyed by the US postal system, there is a flat rate handling charge for each item to cover the actual packing of the item and to cover insurance on the item. Ebay has removed the option for you to see your insurance listed separately on your invoice and has asked that we include it in either the price of the item or in shipping and/or handling charges. Be aware that if something does break in transit, I will provide you with the proof that insurance was purchased on the item, but you will still be responsible for taking the box with the item, all the packing materials, your invoice and proof of payment to your local post office to receive reimbursement from the postal insurance system. They have to see ALL of it, so never throw anything away before going to see them. I am always glad to combine shipping for multiple purchases, but please do not pay your bill immediately and then ask for combined shipping. If you are purchasing multiple items, please email me after purchase to request a combined total. COMBINED SHIPPING MAY CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE BOX IN ADDITION TO THE ADDED WEIGHT, SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I TAKE THAT INTO ACCOUNT. EBAY'S AUTOMATED INVOICES WILL NOT DO SO. I will send you an invoice separate from the ones EBay sends out automatically and I believe you will always find that it will save you more money than their invoice. We ship once or twice a week, more often in busy seasons. If your payment comes in right after a shipment goes out, then your item will most likely have a 3-4 day wait until the next shipment. You should receive an email from Paypal when your shipping label has been printed and that label does include the estimated day of the shipment going out. It also gives you the tracking number so you can keep track of your package. If you have a spam filter that does not allow you to receive emails from Paypal, you will not receive a tracking number; since one is already going out to you, I do not send an additional one. Please remember that when Priority mail says it takes 2-3 days, the Post Office does not include weekends or holidays in their estimates. I have been finding that many packages are not arriving nearly that quickly - sometimes 5 or 6 days from the date we print on the label. We cannot be held responsible for the transit time once a package leaves our warehouse. Likewise, we have no control (unfortunately!) over the rising USPS costs, which are particularly bad when going across the country or in an oversized box. However, if you live far enough away that it would make a significant difference in price to ship parcel post, I am willing to do that. Again, please email and make that request BEFORE you pay your bill - it is much easier to send you a new invoice than it is to try to figure out the difference and make refunds later.
