CIRCA - LATE 1800'S 

These Straw Hat machines are desireable machines amongst collectors, 
they were commonly used for hat making and lace making

A rare model used mainly by hat makers and 
discontinued when hat sales declined.

I am pleased to offer you this antique sewing machine from the estate of a hat maker here in the Toronto area. Years ago he had a thriving bussiness and when he closed up shop, he stored the machines in his basement and there they have sat for all these years. The family has asked me to put them in auction for them. I have more machines from his factory so be sure to check my auctions regularly for different machines. Machine appears to be in good condition with all the parts moving freely. I believe this machine to be in working order, according to the information received from the family.(will need a needle) I have tried a few of the machines and they sew with ease! At the bottom of the machine there is a screw that is loose, just thought I would mention this. I have included the stand for this machine. This machine is in very good shape considering how old it is. Please check the pictures for condition and ask any questions before bidding. I believe this machine to be from the 1800's..  Machine is in its original condition, has been sitting for many years and all though it seems ok, it is a bit dirty.  I know very little about sewing machines and will leave the cleaning to the winning bidder.  Machine measures approx.  8 inches high and 9 inches wide not including the stand.
