Up for auction is a Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree in a Bunjin design.
BOTANICAL NAME : Ehretia microphylla
ORIGIN : China

Was originally a large cascade import from China.
It was repotted and stood upright 2 years ago.  It has been in training as Bunjin since.
Wired numerous time.

Unique twisted trunk Bunjin design.

This is tree from our personal collection here at Wigert's Bonsai Nursery. 
If you visit the nursery you will see it on display. 
This is a chance for you to win a very special specimen bonsai.

This is a large imported tree from China.
Will be a really nice show piece for your bonsai collection.
Full of flowers and fruit.

Fukien Tea is a traditional bonsai tree and has a very oriental look.  Most people have at least 1 of these in their collection.  Fukien Teas are beautiful little trees, they even flower and bear tiny fruit.

With the shiniest leaves you have ever seen you might even think its a fake.  But very real and alive it is and it will grow, flower for many years to come.

This tree was styled by Erik Wigert, owner of Wigert's Bonsai Nursery in North Ft Myers, Florida.
In 2008 at the "1st National Bonsai Exhibition" in Rochester, NY
he was awarded "Best Tropical Bonsai" for his Purple Bougainvillea.

Care :
Fukien Tea likes full to partial sun.
Don't let the plant dry out.
Keep away from freezing temperatures.

This tree is 16 inches tall. 
Nebari is 4 inches.
It is planted in a 12 inch ceramic Japanese Bonsai pot.

Attention bidders, We cannot ship to the following states due to Florida agricultural regulations as we are a certified nursery: Arizona. We do not ship international. Plants to P.R. need a Phytosanitary certificate $65 and need to be shipped bareroot.



We prefer shipping with UPS service.  Delivery times are guaranteed.
They have a great tracking service and we are also able to insure packages if necessary.

We get excellent rates with a 3 day service that doesn’t show up on Ebay.  Contact us if you want a quote for shipping on items you are bidding.

UPS Ground is not recommended to be used in winter as plants are shipped by truck from Florida to you and there is no insulation to protect the live trees from bad weather.
If you prefer to use another shipping like  USPS Priority Mail let us know at the time of checkout.

-At Wigert’s Bonsai Nursery we guarantee that you will receive from us a healthy plant.  We will ship your item promptly after payment is received.

We will pack your plant to our best ability in order to provide the safest shipping.
-We will do our best to protect ceramic pots but they can break during shipping.  We will not replace damaged pots.
-It is normal for plants to drop some leaves, flowers and fruit during shipping. 
Some plants are photographed with flowers,  we cannot guarantee that flowers and fruit will hold during shipping. 
If leaves drop, new growth should re-sprout in a few weeks if the plant is kept in an appropriate condition.
-Most of our plants are tropical and ideally should be grown outdoors in tropical climates or in a greenhouse.
However it is possible to grow any plant indoors if the appropriate conditions are provided.
Research growing plants indoors and see what you can do to help improve your indoor growing conditions.

-Shipping tropicals in the winter to areas that are cold is risky.  If you live in an area where low temps are bellow 35Fshipping will be at your own risk.

Shipping tropicals in the winter is risky. 
We do not guarantee plants shipped to locations where the low temps are bellow 35F as this can damage or even kill tropical trees.
Before placing your bid make sure you are comfortable with shipping a tropical tree At YOUR OWN RISK. 
We will add a HEAT PACK for FREE and this will help with safe shipping.
Also the package should not sit outside in the cold.  Make sure the shipping address is to a location where someone can receive it.  Orders arrive usually Thursdays – Saturday from the US Mail.
If you really want a tree but are concerned with shipping you can talk to us about bidding on the tree, paying for it and having us BOARD the tree at out nursery until Spring.
Average boarding fees are $1 per week per tree for small trees.
