Here's the story on this practically new Bujin 100% cotton hakama. I purchased this new from Bujin Design back in 2000. I immediately didn't like it because it was so heavy and bulky. I wore it sparingly, along with my original bujin twill hakama, mostly during the winter months (which are few in Florida!)
In 2003 I traveled to Japan and visited Tozando in Kyoto. While there, I purchased a deluxe tetron hakama, which I immediately fell in love with. Thats all I've worn since. While at Tozando I had them embroider my name and dojo on this Bujin hakama. Its black on black, so its hardly noticeable, and the thread can be removed if desired.
In any event, since I purchased the Tozando hakama, this one has been sitting in my closet folded and collecting dust. Since I will never use it again, and Bujin is now out of business, I figured someone out there may be interested in it. It is like new, with very little wear. The only noticeable wear is at the bottom front. This is common with these hakama, as they have a denim-like material that that is rough and wears as they slide against the tatami mats. Please see the pictures on my site for a closer look.
This is Bujin's unique "Aiki Soft Koshita" style. It is thick black cotton and measures 41.5" from the top front to the bottom front. The pleats are sharp and like new. As Bujin has two types of hakama front lengths, for rolling the top under your obi or not, understand that this is the regular length (not extended). I am 6' tall with a 34" waist (and I rolled the front under).

Good Luck and happy bidding!
Revision: I just found out that the actual tag on this item says 40M.
The invoice said 42, but I measured it and it measures 41.5" from top to the hem on the front.
