RB-SWB Recumbent Bicycle DVD

This 2 DVD set walks you through the frame building process on how to build the RB-SWB Recumbent Bicycle.  The RB-SWB has a very user friendly frame geometry.  Features include a seat clamp that is fully adjustable anywhere along the main tube of the frame.  Also the pedal assembly can be extended out with it's adjustable front boom.  This allows riders of varying sizes to be able to ride, and to customize the weight & balance of the bike to their personal taste (38 x-seam or larger).  Also there is no idler wheel on the power side of the chain drive, this allows full power from the pedal assembly to the rear wheel with no reduction in power.

There are no complicated plans, blueprints or manuals to read.  Each step of the building process is shown in clear up close video, using easy to follow instructions.  You are shown where to measure, cut and fit each part.  The focus of this video is on the frame building process.  Including seat construction, brake mounts, steering system, idler wheel, cable stop locations and even installing water bottle bosses.  When finished all you have to is decide what color you want to paint your new bike, and to simply bolt on your choice of components.

You can build your RB-SWB using 1 3/4" or 2" outside diameter tubing for it's main tube.  The 2" diameter is a popular size among some recumbent manufactures and gives you the option of retro fitting a seat that uses a 2" diameter clamp.  Included with each video are full-scale plans for the rear dropouts.  These drawings can be used as a template by placing them onto your material.  Trace the pattern onto your material, then cut out the dropouts.  No need to make complicated measurements.  For those who do not know what a rear dropout is?  They are what the rear wheel bolts too.

The frame jig used for assembling the RB-SWB (explained in detail) is made from only two 2x4's, along with some common hardware found at most home centers.  It's strong yet simple design will produce a very straight frame, and get you through the frame building process quickly.  The frame jig itself can be assembled in about 2 hrs.  If you are not doing the welding yourself, the frame jig complete with your frame attached can be transported in the front seat of even a compact car.

There are many cost saving tips and building tricks shared throughout the video.  Also the DVD has chapter index's that make it quick and easy to review back and find information.  For those creative individuals who have there own recumbent design in mind,  these building techniques will help send you on your way.

I could have never done something like this with out your video.  After watching the video, I started collecting items.  When I did begin building, it went very fast with no surprises.  The first time I rode it, I had a blast and did not want to stop………
I could not be happier, Thank you.

Just had to say everything went great with the building.  My 10 year old even helped and did a lot of the work.  It turned out beautiful and rides great, very comfortable!  My mountain bike may never get ridden again, but that’s ok by me.  I may build your other video the RB-LWB someday.

Thank you for the instructional video.  I attempted to build this same recumbent not long ago from building plans I purchased.  Sadly it ended in a disaster, I used the wrong old bikes and nothing fit right.  I never did finish it.  Your video was easy peasy, kept me out of trouble from the word go, great detail and fun to ride!  Just wanted to say Thank you!

A quick thank you for your video.  When my husband asked me to order your video I thought “oh boy, here we go”.  But it turned out great, he said he just followed along with each step in the video and had no problems.  Now he is like a kid.  He rides that crazy bike everywhere, I tell him he is going to wear that thing out.  The grand kids like it too……..
We are on a fixed income so this turned out to be perfect, thanks again.
