(pictured) A product of the Rocky Mountain region, this material is cut from trees affected by the pine beetle infestation of pine trees, leaving the wood stained with a blue/gray coloring. These trees are completely stable and free of any residue. The coloring is a natural reaction from the exposure and this material is considered renewable, taken from the standing dead pine trees. This material has been Kiln Dried for stability, this material requires no acclimation and will not soak up ambient moisture like air-dried wood.
