I have owned maybe 2 dozen routers over the years but this one was the worst ever! I quite literally threw it in the bin and put it out with the garbage. And this was less than 2 weeks after i got it. I bought it to replace a Belkin N150 that was working perfectly while i had it, but i wanted to give that router to my aunt who just started off with her new laptop. So, based on that router i "upgraded" to this one. I was pleased with its features, price and design but from the get-go i had issues with the software (installed on my HP HDX18 running win7x64) not connecting to the router. Using 'router' in the address bar would spawn a search for router instead of bring it up. has to uninstall and reinstall twice to get it going. next i switched on the guest ssid and set that to 'cafe mode' not only did the router become unresponsive after that but the cafe mode simply **does not work at all**. after hours of fiddling with a non responsive router i thought maybe that setting was at the root of my trouble so i switched it off (the router would take only one command before freezing). after that it was responsive again. but the best was yet to come...! after getting both ssids to work (regular and guest--the latter without cafe login), the thing would work for maybe a couple hours before needing power-cycling (pulling the power and re-applying it)! it would start off ok then the internet would start slowing down the i'd get the browser saying it could not reach the website. no website not even amazon. it reached the point where i would have to do this power recycle ever couple hours religiously. and whether i was on the wireless or ethernet the very same issue happened! i would see the lan/wifi connection but the internet goes south. i fiddled with and experimented with every setting i could find but nothing changed this. even checked and it had the latest firmware. in between these issues i would switch back a couple times to the trusty N150 and the issues would vanish. after struggling with thsi router for about 10 days i unplugged it one morning and threw it in the bin. refused to even give it away because i knew the recipient would probably return to my house with it and a baseball bat in tow. this is the last belkin i'll ever buy. intend to get a netgear instead.Read full review
Belkin makes a lot of routers that look exactly like this one, but this model is far better. In fact, the Share Max router is one of the most trouble free ever made. It just works and it works great. I love being able to see the orange light on top that lets you know when the internet service is out. That feature saves you from a lot of trouble shooting time. I bought a 2nd one of these for a spare !

Good quality router. Only couldn’t connect it wirelessly to the modem - when tried ‘repeater’ option, was not able to find his IP. Could connect to the Modem only with Ethernet cable.
