Hello Everyone!
Here is an exceptional antique Hopf 4/4 violin. The richness and the mature tone pores out of it in a smooth mellow chocolate creaminess that is exemplary with well played violins. I can tell this fiddle has been played with passion. The sound is truly so beautiful and relaxing! This fiddle is a must for a musician who has this palette. There are no expressive boundaries that it can't handle. I am not exaggerating, the winner WILL experience this. Every note resounds into the distance and is shaped by the maker, clear, warm, intense, blending together.... you name it.... the overtones are extraordinary. It is a very responsive instrument and even from top to bottom. It will fill a hall easily if needed, and the violin is a great sectional instrument for its presence. I hope this instrument falls into the hands of a serious musician. This is why I am putting a reserve on it. It NEEDS to be played consciously. One won't be disappointed by it! The violin is in excellent condition due to it's age. I see no seams opened, a few minor cracks on the upper left shoulder (no bass bar, sound post cracks), the fingerboard is graded just right, and the varnish is in excellent condition. The top of the violin is made from tight grained high grade spruce that is premium for fine instrument construction. The rich translucent reddish golden brown varnish brings out the premium grade spruce top for all to enjoy! The back is made from one piece of European maple and is in mint condition. The workmanship of the ribs and neck is superb. The corners seamlessly blending to the next and the neck gracefully extending from the body of the violin. Over all the instruments craftsmanship is very fine and worthy of being an instrument for the most avid musician. If you have any questions please email me and I'll get back as soon as I can. For shipping, 35 dollars in the USA, and 80$ international. Paypal only. Happy Bidding and Thanks!!! |
