Bear-Step sterling silver turquoise HORSE BELT BUCKLE





Description

 

You are looking at my grandfather's very own belt buckle.
Buckle measures 4" x 2-5/16".
It will fit a belt up to 1-5/8" wide.
Shatka Bear-Step was a VIP with the Appaloosa Horse Club in the 1970s.
He made awards for the Club.
He had a jewelry store in Ute Pass, Colorado,
and a couple stores in Arizona.
He was born in 1896.
The turquoise used in this buckle
is Villa Grove, Colorado turquoise.
The mine is closed now.
Buckle is made to fit various sized belts.
There is a pocket on the back of the buckle
that my grandfather would keep a $100 bill in.
Like mad money!
