Seller Notes: I carried this item for about two months. I reprofiled it on water stones as the original edge was not very sharp. It's TINY and I mainly used it to open packages and cut fruit. I've since moved to a folder and no longer need it.

Bark River Knife and Tool

Up for auction is a used Bark River Knife and Tool EPK (Emergency Preparedness Knife) with Blaze Orange scales, original sheath and box!!!

Hello, all! I'm finally parting ways with my last EDC knife. I picked up this EPK from DLT Trading about 4 months ago and it served me well, but I've decided to move up to a larger folder for daily use, so I'm selling this one.

This tiny knife measures about 4 inches long with a blade length of just about 2 inches. It fits easily just about anywhere, including a coin pocket on some pairs of jeans! Despite being tiny, this little sucker is made of rock solid CPM 154 steel and once it's sharp, holds a very good edge.

Admittedly, it didn't have a stellar edge out of the box. For some reason this little thing has quite a prominent V edge on it and it wasn't very sharp to say the least. As decent as I might be at free-handing knives on waterstones, this little thing was a real challenge! A two inch blade that you're trying to reprofile to make usably sharp! HA! All things considered, I think it came out well and it's MUCH sharper than it was originally.

I basically used this to open packages, cut fruit for snacks, etc. Nothing serious. It looks like it's been through more work than that because of the stone sharpening. This is a 1st Production Run and you can see the remainder of that signature on the side of the blade - some was removed in the sharpening process. The knife is pretty darn sharp for such a little sucker. The last images was an attempt to show a clean cut through a 6 sheet stack of copy paper. It's not iron-clad proof that it's surgical of course, but I tired to illustrate it as best I could for an auction :)

There is nothing wrong with this knife. Check my other auctions and you'll see that I have several more on the auction block. I just have a TON and it's time to part ways with some so I can MAKE ROOM FOR MORE! I have reprofiled the edge as best as I could for such a dinky blade and now it usually does fine with just some stropping every once in a while when needed.  Again, because it's small, the lines aren't absolutely perfect, but i assure you it's little, tough and sharp!

The handle has a few minor black markings on the scales and it came this way from DLT. The sheath can accommodate a chain if you want to wear it around your neck. IT comes with the sheath and the original box!

This retails new for between $82-90 depending on retailer and I'm offering it here with NO reserve and a modest starting price! Winner pays $4 shipping. Anything over that I eat. If it's less than $3 I'll refund you the difference. Paypal only within 48 hours of auction end. I'll only ship this to the lower 48.

I've sold several knives on here with great feedback, so please bid with confidence!

CAUTION: As with any knife that is has had a previous owner and not direct from the factory, the resharpening has changed the original state of the blade. I assure you it's sharper than when I purchased it new, however, as with taste, beauty, etc., these things are always subject to personal opinion. If you are uncertain about whether or not you'd like to  purchase a used knife, please do not bid! I'd rather lose a bid than for someone to win the item and not be happy with it. I have described the item accurately and to the best of my ability and I've taken several photos of the actual item. Please mail me with any questions you might have. Thank you and HAPPY BIDDING!
