JAPANESE BUDDHIST CHANTING CABINET
Very rare, very expensive, very beautiful, immaculate, sought after Soka Gakkai International ( SGI ) or Nicheren Shoshu ( NSA ) butsudan.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Perfect in every way high gloss finish, no scratches.
Need to liquidate parent's estate.
Stands 6 feet tall as pictured, but actually comes with a 6-7 inch base (stage) which is not pictured (makes it too tall for the room) which the entire set up can sit upon. This has all the bells and whistles. It's electric with electric lights and all electric doors inside, where the gohonzon is and the exterior doors are manual.
It comes with lots of extras: a chanting "desk," 12 inch, beautiful sounding bell, scroll holder, two side pedestals and plants in matching pots. I will even include all the incense and candles leftover. The chanting table is more like a kneeling desk with drawers to store your beads, books, incense and candles. It is absolutely stunning. So much so, that my mom's "friends" are trying to be sneaky to get their hands on it. I can't sell to them, because they don't want to pay the full amount in cash. I would keep it, but I live overseas, and cannot transport it. Which is also why I need to sell it for the full amount in cash. No financing. I'm a "fortune baby" and am sad to see it go, but I'm only in the U.S. for two weeks and I must find a good home for it.
We also have a large collection of Japanese pottery, dolls, antiques and Japanese books if you are interested.
We are asking only $11,000 but will consider other serious offers. We will not take much less. I will put it in storage and wait to sell it, if I get any offers that are too low. Please be respectful. If you are in SGI or NSA, you know what this is worth and that we are being very reasonable with our asking price.
