Impeccably researched and written by Paul Bienvenue and Bob Schmidt, this amazing book elaborates upon and greatly extends the older Oz book reference, Bibliographia Oziana. Not only does the new guide include all the major Wizard of Oz books written by Baum, Ruth Plumly Thompson, and others, it also includes the many other books written by Baum under his name and his lesser known pseudonyms.
I am so happy to have this book, and refer to it constantly in my collecting and bookselling hours. Each Oz-related book is pictured and carefully described so you can determine if you have a first edition (or printing) of the book, an endeavor that's been very difficult up until now. While the book may seem expensive, it's without a doubt worth it. In addition to identifying books you may have in your collection, you can also salivate over full color images of ones you may never acquire, like Baum's By the Candelabra's Glare or the dust jacket for The Boy Fortune Hunters in the South Seas. Additionally, Bienvenue includes historical information on the books, excerpts from documents related to their creation, and advertising and original artwork.

Shipping:
Books are shipped by Media Mail, which is the cheapest and still quite reliable. Media Mail does take one or two weeks for delivery, depending on where you live. $3.95 for most items by Media Mail; $1.50 for each additional item.
We can ship Priority Mail if you prefer, although it is usually expensive--email your zip code for a quote.
We wrap securely, putting vintage books in boxes rather than padded envelopes, and use cardboard backing with magazines. I will ship internationally to many countries, but contact me BEFORE purchasing for the cost--it can be substantial. You may also be responsible for customs' duties in your country, and please don't ask me to falsify customs forms! |

Returns:
I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. I try to list all flaws of note when describing an item, but perhaps something slips my eye, or is otherwise not up to snuff. You can return the item for a full refund of your purchase price. (Note: this has only occurred once or twice in about 2000 transactions!!)
You must contact me for a refund within 3 days of receipt, and I must receive it back it within 14 days. (Shipping costs not refunded, since these are a direct out-of-pocket expense).
Please handle and ship your item with care so it's returned in its original condition. |
