Two natural Bibliopathos products, now exclusively distributed in Americas and Canada by Monte cristo Rare Books, conceived in order to take care of precious ancient bindings. Due to unfit environmental agents, wrong maintenance or simply to time’s passing, in fact, leather and vellum may lose moisture and shine, or even blacken because of the presence of microorganisms.

The action of Bibliopathos’ creams crosses bindings’ deterioration: it gives a natural shine back to vellums, without drying them out and it feeds and protects leathers, thanks to a percentage of natural wax which preserves the superficial layer from scratches and scrapings.

The presence of Cypress essential oil in both formulations, besides, produces a lightly bitter aroma disliked by wormholes, thus granting a further form of protection for books’ inner pages. Ancient monks were usually making their libraries in cypress wood for this reason.

Beauty Cream for Old-Centuries Leathers (250 ml/8.456 FL OZ): essential oil-based (Juniper, Cypress and Lavender), lanulin. Spread and gently massage with a smooth cloth and let dry; if necessary, repeat the operation. The cream removes dust, nourishes and preserves your precious leathers bindings. $ 35

Cleaning Cream for Ancient Vellums (250 ml/8.456 FL OZ): essential oil-based (Propolis, Juniper and Cypress). Spread and gently rub with a cotton disk; if necessary, repeat the operation. The cream cleans, nourishes and preserves your ancient vellum bindings. $ 35
