You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind portrait of Todd Haynes, Oscar-nominated writer/director of feature films Far From Heaven and I'm Not There. This 15.25 x 24" stretched giclee print on canvas has been signed by both Todd Haynes and Steve Cohn, the artist and Haynes' brother-in-law (who works under the pseudonym Jasper Marks). The print is capped with a small matte black frame, ready to hang as is, or to add a more elaborate frame of your choice.
All proceeds from this auction will benefit The Right Brain Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing arts education to all K-8 students in the Portland, Oregon metro area.
Please watch the signing and dedication of the portrait to The Right Brain Initiative, and read Todd Haynes' written statement about the value of arts education on the Right Brain blog.
The portrait is currently in
Portland, OR and on view at the Lara Sydney Framing Gallery, 1230 NW Hoyt
Street through the end of the auction. For those local to Portland, please
take a look during the First Thursday art walk on the evening of August 2. The auction’s winner can choose to work with the Lara
Sydney Framing Gallery to meet their framing needs at an additional cost. Handling time and shipping costs may vary if choosing to frame the item.
