As part of the 4th annual Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League charity auction, drummer Vinnie Paul of Pantera has donated and autographed double platinum plaque for Pantera's heavy-hitting, Vulgar Display of Power, which sold over 2 million copies. This piece of history landmarks the band’s groundbreaking sophomore record that would forever change the sound of heavy metal music. Vulgar Display of Power features Pantera's most recognized song "Walk," which put the band on the map in 1992.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to league champion, Scott Ian's (of Anthrax) charity of choice, The Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle summer camp was founded in 1999 and is dedicated to inspiring children with life-threatening diseases to become their greater selves. The program offers care, respite and education to the families of these children by providing a year-round, life-changing, authentic camp experience that supports each child's unique medical needs.
