Up for sale is a Working, in excellent condition 1996-1997 Audi A6 Quattro MT ECU. Audi part number 8D0 906 266 . This ECU should fit some 96-97 90's and A6 2.8l v6's, however as always your best bet is to match the part numbers with the original unit from your car. This unit offers a 30 day functionality warranty. A faulty ECU is one of the most common no start or random stalling problems with these cars. These can also cause issues with erroneous check engine lights, idle control problems as well as emission control & cold or hot start problems. I have also seen fuel pump relay turn on faults (ECU won't turn on the fuel pump), as well as an condition where the high speed injector driver has failed. This causes the car to sit and idle fine, but it won't accelerate.If your car does not have these issues but you intend to keep it a while, I recommend our customers keep an extra ECU in the trunk. These units list for over $1800 new. Even now finding a good one second hand is getting to be quite difficult as these cars get older.

Please note, that misdiagnosis of a good working ECU is one of the primary reasons we get these units returned. We no longer accept returns on these units without a 30% restocking fee and there are NO refunds on our original shipping cost. We test all units we possibly can, and will test any returned units.
