high quality cloisonne

I DO have a problem with my love for cloisonne-but I just can not break the habit, so please bare with my grandiose descriptions-they just make me deliriously happy! THIS one is very unique..they are all unique, but this one is unique unique..It is 6 inches tall and about 2 3/4 inches wide-it has an almost barrel shape, so the incline curve to the base is quite slight. It was made between 1850-1900. It has some very interesting and wonderfully subtle colors around the base of it's neck. They are all mottled; you can just FEEL the cloisonne master grinding them up out of gemstones, or plants and other substances of which great enamels are made! The colors are very "organic" or earthy. They are a gorgeous sort of sea-weed green, a BEAUTIFUL lavender, a pink which really looks just like ground rose quartz, and a light cobalt blue-lapis is my guess of what mineral was used for THAT one..Along with the uniqueness of the colorful neck band, the vase has two "portraits", one on each side of the vase. One is of butterflies in wonderful pastels-light blue, pinks, etc, all wrapped perfectly with the thin thin wire used for these amazing antique gems...on goldstone-surrounded by the tiny red dots also very traditional in the cloisonne of the era. The other "portrait" is less traditional for cloisonne-it is two separate scenes in one, separated by diamond shapes,in alternating red and blue, with a flower in each.  The top has a goldstone background, the bottom is done in the rose quartz color. It too is surrounded by the wonderful minute red dots placed so perfectly together they form a perfect oval frame. The background on which these portraits lay, is black, covered with a zillion of the classic thin wire tightly wound circles..many many of them, swirling smoothly and placed so expertly there is hardly any space without one. This black background also has little perky flowers floating in it, in white, yellow, blue, red, green. It is truely a subtle and beautifully executed vase. The inside is the seaweed green, with a few chips around the top. The bottom is solid brass in color without signature or marks, other than a few tiny dents from age. There IS a big place in the top of the two-colored portrait which was repaired but not very well. It is hard to notice at first, as the color used for the repair was fairly close to the original goldstone. You can see it in pictures #3 & # 4.  It IS a flaw however, about 3/4 inch in diameter, and any one looking for perfect should NOT bid on this piece.  This vase IS a fine historical cloisonne antique however, and would please most lovers of the art, or anyone who loves nice objects! Thank you so much for looking and please if you find the time take a look at "this sellers" other items as I will  be posting a few more each day. I am unfortunately still in the process of downsizing, and my precious cloisonne collection is downsizing too. Thanks again.
