If two monitors just aren't enough for your PowerMac, this is a good option
A couple of years ago, when my father unexpectedly passed away, I inherited his PowerMac G5. My dad was a graphic designer and that is what this machine did for most of it's life, but since showing it's age a little, my Dad bought a Mac Mini and retired his G5 to his makeshift drum/karaoke studio. When I got the G5, I had no idea what to do with it. I tinkered with some ideas, and ultimately decided I didn't feel safe enough putting it online for any browsing, I can't use it to game on, Garage Band is perfectly usable though and it still displays a nice picture. It also ran an old version of XBMC really well, so I put it in my game room, hooked it up to the TV and a spare monitor, and used it most of the time as a screensaver; breaking it out every now and again to play around in Garage Band with my daughter, or to stream a movie from our NAS. My daughter really loves the screensaver on the dual monitors, and that gave me an idea; I could use this to power a few monitors and basically create my own slideshow of pictures in multiple monitors. The search began for a graphics card. I bought three cards that all said they were PCI cards, one was an AGP, one was a PCI-E and then there was this one. This one works! It works well. I can tell that it's a bit slower than the AGP card, but I'm not pushing anything that requires a lot of horsepower. I can now get 4 monitors to run on my one machine. I'm thinking of getting another card because in my testing, only two of the three connections on this card can be used at once, I discovered this while having the DVI and VGA occupied by LCD monitors, and just for fun, I hooked up the S-Video on my CRT that I use for retro games consoles, I got a black and white picture with sync issues and my VGA monitor turned a shade of blue. If I were to buy another card, I could probably push my makeshift screensaver slide show to 6 monitors. I realize this isn't at all practical for most people, but it serves me in remembering my Father; so to me this is a good bit of tech.

works with my G4 Mac (sawtooth) under OS9
I haven't fully installed it yet but i did put it in and the system recognized it. I'm not sure how to install the drivers but i did download them from the website the card provides so they are there.. just not used to OS9. I see no reason why the card will not work fully once I install the drivers as needed. If you want a 2nd video card to do dual monitors this is a sure card to do it. There might be cheaper cards out there you can find, but drivers might not be available and you don't know in many of the cases if they will really work with the G4 until you get it home and for that the extra money was worth the assurance that this card would work with my system.
