I purchased this Apple IIe platinum new from Shreve Systems back in mid to late nineties.  Even then it had been long discontinued and I just wanted it as a collectors item.  I have had it in storage for the last 15 years or so and have never removed it from the box.  The box still has my original unopened invoice from Shreve.  They had a bunch of these back in the day but have been sold out for some time now.  The last of them went for $1450.  Looking at the tape on the top it looks like I added some clear tape to the top when I put it into storage back in the nineties, I seem to remember that the original factory tape was starting to lose its strength but I assure you I never removed it from the box.  Attaching pictures with the model number and I think that is the serial number as well.
