A friend of mine, Mr.
Kato, who worked in the Lisa and Mac division at Apple in the 1980s has been
cleaning out his basement and has decided to pass on some of his collection of
Apple memorabilia. Here is his description of this group of items (Three boards
are included—the wire wrap board and two additional boards). The first board is one of
two Mac II wire-wrap boards that were made to prototype the first Mac II. The
other prototype was tossed in the garbage long ago. He spent hundred of hours
working on this and couldn’t part with it until now. As he has said it is now time for him to
pass on some of his treasures. Also included in this
auction is the Prototype of the first NUBUS video card that was shipped with
the Mac II and the first bare board that was made from the wire-wrap
design. This is truly a piece of
Apple history. This is one of the last
Apple computers that were made by doing wire-wrap prototypes. After that we
used computers to simulate computers designs. The wire-wrap board
measures approximately 12 x 18 inches and is in good physical condition but not
tested so it is sold as is. If there are any questions
or you need more photos please let me know. Check photos for more details. What you see in the photos
is what is being auctioned. Thanks for looking!!!!!!! |
