Description: You are looking at a very nice antique pier mirror and marble top desk set. The wood is dark walnut and the mirror has Eastlake style spoon carvings on the corners and a half spindles on each side of the mirror. It has a squared off top that looks shelf like. The glass is in excellent condition with no fogging or discoloration. There are a few nicks and scuffs on the wood of the mirror but over all it is in great condition. The marble on the desk is in excellent condition. It is light brown and has a smooth beveled edge. It still has some shine to it as well. The desk has 1 center drawer and it has dovetail craftsmanship with a brass pull. The legs are very curvy and come together to form a butterfly shape. The stretcher runs across the width of the table and is very curvy as well, meeting the center of the legs on each side. The wood does show some signs of age and wear but this just adds to the character and patina of the entire set. The back upper corner has a small chunk missing but you cant even see it with the marbel top on. See pictures below. This is a very nice set, it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know who the maker is or the exact date it was made. The mirror measures 46 ¼ inches tall, 25 3/8 inches side to side and 3 11/16 inches front to back. It weighs 20 pounds. The marble top measures 1 1/8 inches tall, 29 9/16 inches side to side and 19 3/8 inches front to back. The marble weighs 58 pounds. The desk with out the marble measures 29 inches tall, 29 inches side to side and 19 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 23 pounds.
