We have had three Hoosier Cabinets over the decades, and this is the one that I could never bring myself to part with. For one thing, it is somewhat less wide & less tall than the standard Hoosier, which makes it great when you move to a smaller home or apartment. Measures 38-1/2" wide x 62-1/2" tall. Cabinet is 11-3/4" deep--Top; 25" deep--Counter; 22" deep--Bottom. The pull-out center Flour Bid looks as though it has never been used. The handle turner works great. Enamel porcelain counter has one wee flaw, which has been professionally covered, and is not noticeable. Both sides at the bottom and the front bottom trim have also been repaired by local cabinet man, and should be handled with care when moving to truck. Other than these repairs, cabinet is in remarkable condition. I love the red metal handles, which are pretty rare (I have never seen any other ones). Also, the cut-out designs on the sides and top and bottom are hard to come by. This Hoosier has its own personality ~ petite, confident, a winner at the Hoosier Prom. For Hoosier Collectors who search for the unusual, this is a nice find. (Old pair Depression green check curtains have always been on the bottom shelf, and will remain with Hoosier (I just laundered)). SHIPPING can get quite expensive especially if you live far away from Pittsburgh, PA 15236 (East Coast). Hoosier Top is removable, which makes shipping easier. If you are a serious buyer, I can try to get a quote for you if you give me the name of your State and Zip Code. |
