Bishop Paul Leonard Hagarty was a beloved friend of my mother Bertha, the founder of Church-Woman Antiques.

 

He was also the first Bishop of Nassau, and served previously as Vicar Apostolic of the Bahamas Islands. His estate items are on consignment for auction thanks to a friend of St. John's Abbey, where he spent his final years.

 

This is a rare piece that has been kept away from direct light, stored in silk paper, and kept in a climate controlled environment. The threads are wrapped in real gold and silver foil (similar to gold leaf), and the image of the sacrificial lamb is in repose silver relief. This piece is 9 inches across all sides, and the condition is superb.
