Antique framed English Arts & Crafts leaded glass panel.

We are very pleased to offer this antique English Arts & Crafts/Craftsman leaded glass panel.

This leaded glass panel comes to us from England, the home of the Arts & Crafts, Craftsman movement of design, that had its beginnings back after the turn of the last century. This panel is well in keeping with the Craftsman design sensibilities, with it's clean lines and spare use of color. It may even be considered a transitional piece, combining both Art Deco and Craftsman styles. This panel incorporates the use of golden brown, pale green, and lavender glass, all set in a field of clear, large, and small, dimple patterned glass.

The over all dimensions of the frame are: 21 1/2 inches wide, by 19 1/2 inches tall, and 1 1/2 inches deep. The panel image area is 16 3/8 inches wide, by 14 1/4 inches tall. This frame and panel weighs 8.25 pounds. The frame itself is not an antique, it was made to securely transport the panel.

Condition- The panel is in very good condition, There are no chips, cracks, or crazing of any of the elements tat make up the panel. There is some residual paint on the border came, most likely from the window frame of the house it was last mounted in. The interior came pieces are nicely oxidized, and the panel shows no sign of sagging.

This panel would make a wonderful accent to any home done in a Craftsman style. Or, as an interior accent to a room decorated in Art Deco, or a Craftsman style.
