This auction is for an antique cast iron pot. Shallow, at 3" deep. It is 12" in diameter. It has a hand-forged handle, 5/16" thick, with peened over ends. The handle outlets flare up to 4" high and the handle works freely and nicely.
The pot has 3 nub feet, arrow-shaped, that it sits on, and a 6" long gate mark along the bottom. No cracks. Will hold liquid. Has very minimal rust or pitting. Nice cast iron piece for the hearth-cooker or historical re-enactor. Will hang nicely. No maker's mark that I can see, although maybe you recognize the handle or nub foot style.
Close to 8 lbs. boxed. Use PayPal within 3 days of your winning bid. Lower 48 U.S. States sale only. |
