A wonderful 19th C. 2 gallon stoneware Jug, from F.B. Norton & Co., Worcester, Mass. This piece has a large floral decoration in cobalt blue on the front. The piece is marked on the front right above the design, highlighted in cobalt. The cobalt decoration is very thick and vibrant & the piece is in excellent condition with no chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs. There is some staining consistent with its age. This piece measures 13 1/2" tall & 9" in diameter on the bottom. A rare design that will be a perfect additon to any stoneware collection.
