Thank you for viewing my auction. Please be sure to read the complete description and study the photo's carefully before you bid. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have before the auction ends. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Pay Pal requires insurance or tracking. I am adding insurance or celivery confirmation to the shipping for $1.00 or less. If insurance is used, I will pay the rest of the insurance to help lessen the cost. The shipping price includes delivery confirmation, and or insurance.. I use Pay Pal for my auctions >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you win one auction you can pay the invoice Ebay sends you. Please wait till you receive the invoice from me, not ebay if you win more than one auction. Ebay does not combine the shipping properly and is usually too high. I will send an invoice and combine the shipping to save you money. There will be a note from me on the invoice. I ship to the USA only and accept Pay Pal. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< All auctions must be paid within three days of the auction ending. I reserve the right to cancel any bids from bidders with zero feedbacks or negative feedbacks for non-payment. Please do not wait for the auction to end and offer less money. The stuff I sell DOES NOT come from a smoke or pet free house. Also, much of what I sell is decades old or somtimes a hundred years old. It is not possible to say what these items have been around. I want to be up front about this in case you are sensative to these things. Sorry for all of this stuff. I hope this helps to answer any questions you may have about payment and shipping. But, please feel free to email me with any questions you have. I always enjoy meeting new people and it gives.us a chance to get to know eachother. Thanks much!! >>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is one of the movements I bought from a scrap dealer. The case was scrapped for the gold and I bought the movements that were in the cases. These are the ones that look the best and are worth fixing up. It is a good way to build up your vintage watch parts inventory or to fix up for replacement movements. All have sat for a long time and would need to be serviced by a watchmaker before useing them for replacement movements. Even if a movement runs, it will still need to be serviced. I do not know the history of the watch and have no way to tell if it runs properly. I do a visual inspection to see if the movement is complete or to check for obvious damage. I do not take it apart. Untill a movement is taken all the way down and inspected, it is not possible to say for sure what it will need. I do my best to be accurate and honest. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This auction consist of an antique 16s Elgin pocket watch movement. It comes with the dial, both case screws and a complete set of hands. It has a single sunk dial. The dial has a couple rim chips and a light rim hairline. A bezel may cover the chips if you case the movement up. The dial is a bit dirty, but is still bright with crisp markers and numerals. Cleaning it will make it look better too. The hands are blued steel and may be the original hands. The hour hand has some surface rust. It may clean off though. Or, just leave it like it is. It is a hunting case, stem wind and set movement. The movement looks to be complete with a visual inspection and the balance staff looks to be good. It will tick when wound, but sluggish. It looks like it has been a very long time since this was cleaned. It will need to be serviced by a watchmaker before you use it. The movement is signed, Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. Safety Pinion, 15 Jewels, 8926682. It has flush jewel settings held in with screws, micrometer regulator, an overcoil hairspring and a 3 finger train bridge. There are a couple light spots of surface rust on the winding wheels and a little bit on part of the regulator. It is not bad and you can easily remoe it with a wire brush when you have the movement serviced. It looks like it has sat for decades and will need to be serviced by a watchmaker. Fix it up for a replacement movement, or use it for parts. I ship to the USA only and accept Pay Pal. Thank you for looking and Good Luck!
