Circa  2200 B.C. for sale is this  Ancient Near Eastern Holy Land Pottery FEEDER JUG.  4 3/4"inches wide with spout x 3 1/2" ht. 320 grams.  Extremely hard to find with the spout intact and red/brown paint in an umber spiral net like design, still visible. Two loop handles lie bilaterally with the central feeder spout surviving intact...Spouted Near Eastern vessels such as this seldom come up for sale on the art market........Ex Collection of W.A.Jackson, educated at Manchester University and designated a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society in 1955. As a pharmacist in the 1950's he noticed the change in prescribing habits that started making traditional equipment obsolete. It was around this time he started collecting old chemists apparatus, then moving on to ancient artefacts with similar uses... Jackson is author of the book "The Victorian Chemist and Druggist" published in 1981....  A remarkable exquisite artefact, Certificate of Authenticity supplied ......
