As you might expect, Analyze That has its moments and a pretty good cast: Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro and Joe Viterelli, a great Mobster actor, in his last film role. What you might not expect is that the whole thing is over in 90 minutes, 96 if you count the credits.
For those who haven't heard, it is a sequel to ANALYZE THIS, with several returning characters and performers. It manages to include an awful lot of guys who look familiar from THE SOPRANOS, including Vincent Pastore, aka Big Pussy Bonpensiero. And the same schtick is still pretty funny- psychiatrist Billy Crystal trying to hang with DeNiro and his tough guy friends and then the tough guy's tender moments with his shrink. But, even without having seen the original, this film feels a little bit stretched and warmed over.
The language is predictably rough, but there is no nudity- still it deserves its R rating.
I wouldn't run out and pay a fortune for this one, but it is definitely worth the watching if you don't have anything else and worth picking up for those times when you may not.Read full review
I enjoy DVD movies. I have a large collection. Most cost new between 18 to 20 dollars. After one or two playing' these DVD's start to skip.
On Ebay I was able to purchase a used move for around $5.00 with free S/H. The price was right and yes the movie did skip.
I stopped buying new for this reason... unless the price takes in the fact that DVD's are not made well, I will now look for better value on ebay.
