A beautifully detailed and well-presented display model of the 'Columbia' the first two-time defender (1899 and 1901) of the America's Cup race. Columbia was considered to be the handsomest yacht ever produced when she won the America's Cup.  Above-deck details include a gaff cutter rig with topsail, adjustable rigging with wooden blocks and brass fittings, multiple deckhouses and hatches, raised gunwales, running backstays and mainsail reefing lines. Built plank-on-frame. Just as the original.
