Amazing Spider-Man #1 (March 1963) - debut issue in lousy condition!

Amazing Spider-Man #1 (March 1963) - This is indeed an original copy of the first issue of the classic Amazing Spider-Man by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. This particular copy has seen better days, with very heavy cover wear and that big piece missing from the front cover, and some water staining along the tops of the covers and at the bottom left of the front cover. The comic has been restapled (plus an extra third staple), which is keeping the cover attached to the contents of the comic. The pages inside are all there, with the last page of the comic (an ad-only page) showing the most wear, along the top edge and missing a small piece from the bottom corner. The bottom corner of the pages at the spine show some wear and slight splitting, particularly on the outer wraps. There is some shading along the tops of the pages from the water damage, but it's fairly light.

All in all, this comic is a fairly solid example of what Overstreet would dub "Poor" condition. But hey, it's still an Amazing Spider-Man #1, and that ain't nothin' to sneeze at.

Also, the story is intact...no pages missing, no clipped coupons. There is also no tape or glue on the book, and no obvious color retouching.
