Convenient adhesive presentation
The wound contact layer of Allevyn Adhesive is coated with a low allergy adhesive which is designed to adhere well to intact skin, but not to wounds. The adhesive has a proven low risk of skin irritation.
In-vitro studies and clinical experience both demonstrate that as healing progresses Allevyn Adhesive dressings can stay in place for up to seven days. This capacity results from a combination of properties:
- The perforated wound contact layer allows even viscous exudate to pass into the dressing.
- The hydrocellular core of the dressing absorbs and holds liquid in its microscopic structure.
- The breathable outer surface of the dressing allows excess moisture to evaporate away from the dressing.
The result is the formation of a wound environment, which allows healing to progress without the need for frequent dressing changes.
Promotes early healing
Allevyn Adhesive allows the formation and maintenance of a moist wound healing environment at the wound surface, preventing eschar formation and promoting rapid and trouble-free healing.
Profiled dressing edges
Allevyn Adhesive has a profiled cross-section, narrowing to micro-thin edges which ensure the dressing remains securely in place and reduces the risk of accidental removal by shear between the dressing and clothes or bedding.
The outer polyurethane layer of Allevyn Adhesive prevents strike-through of excess exudate from the dressing, and minimises the chances of cross-contamination and wound infection, therefore enhancing patient comfort and reducing healthcare costs. It also allows the amount of fluid in the dressing to be monitored.
Allevyn Adhesive dressings are soft and cushioning, giving excellent patient comfort and protection.
Wound Management by secondary intention on chronic and acute, full thickness or partial thickness or shallow granulating, exuding wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, infected wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, first and second degree burns, donor sites and fungating ulcers. Can be used in conjunction with IntraSite* Gel for necrotic or sloughy wounds.
Contraindications / Precautions
Do not use any Allevyn product with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions (eg Eusol) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressings.
In common with all adhesive products, some cases of irritation and/or maceration of the skin surrounding the wound have been reported. It should be noted that inappropriate use or too frequent dressing changes, particularly in patients with fragile skin, can result in skin stripping.
If reddening or sensitisation occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.rothin edges.
Instructions for Use
Select the appropriate dressing size. Prepare and clean the skin around the wound. Skin-Prep* Protective Barrier Wipes may be used if appropriate. Peel back the protector film handles and anchor the dressing over the wound. Smooth the dressing into place, ensuring that the edges of the dressing are not wrinkled.
During the early stages of treatment, Allevyn* Adhesive dressings should be inspected frequently. Thereafter dressings can be left in place until exudate can be seen through the outer waterproof film layer and approaches 2cm from the edge of the dressing.
To remove, lift one corner of the dressing and pull it back and over on itself, away from the wound.

- Weekend and Holidays:
UPS 2nd Day and UPS Next Day Air Saver shipments are NOT shipped or
delivered on the weekends or holidays. If you select 2nd Day on Thursday,
your package will not be delivered until Monday. Likewise, Overnight
orders purchased on Friday are not delivered until Monday. Saturday

Cost and Shipping
You have the choice of
selecting which service you would like us to use. We ship via US Postal Service
First Class International, US Postal Service Express Mail, and UPS
International. When you place the item in your cart and select your country,
the options and shipping costs available to that country will appear:
1) USPS Express Mail is
the only postal service that has tracking and guaranteed insured delivery. It
takes approximately 5 to 7 business days. This is an average time frame.
Some packages could take longer or shorter time to arrive depending upon how
long it takes the customs departments of the counties to release the package.
2) USPS First Class
International is much less expensive, HOWEVER, if you select this option, there
is no tracking number and we cannot guarantee how long it will take for
delivery. We will provide you with a “Customs Number” to show when it
leaves our facility and when it leaves the United States. We do not know, from
country to country, how long it takes, but the average is about 10 to 15
business days. This is an average time frame as it can take up
to 25 business days in some cases for the package to arrive. We cannot track
the package if you email or call us as we have no working tracking number. We
cannot file a claim for reimbursement until 30 days from the date of shipment.
That time length is set by the US Postal Service insurance claim guidelines.
3) United Parcel Service
(UPS) does offer tracking from our warehouse to your door. For all customers
selecting UPS, their shipments will be subject to a minimum of $10 brokerage
fee, as well as applicable duties and taxes, on all shipments valued under $200
USD. Additional fees will apply on all shipments valued over $200 USD. You
are responsible for any brokerage, duty fees and taxes duty fees. They
will be collected from you by UPS prior to delivery. If you refuse the package
because of fees and the package is returned to us, we will deduct the original
cost of shipping plus any brokerage fee prior to any refund being issued.
Additional taxes, duties,
We do not know when and
if a foreign government or shipping service will levy taxes, duties, or
brokerage fees. These fees are NOT included in our posted shipping
charges. Customers are solely responsible for any and all additional fees.

cannot predict what the charges may be. Contact your local post office or
customs office if you have questions about fees. If you reject the package
because you don't want to pay fees, the shipping fee you originally paid to us
is non-refundable. Any brokerage fees will be deducted before a refund is

double checked by our staff before it is packed. However, once a package leaves
our store with an international destination, we can no longer be held
responsible if something happens to it in customs. If customs opens your
package and charges you duty, confiscates merchandise or anything else of that
nature, we cannot be held accountable.

inspected prior to leaving our warehouse. However, due to the high cost of
