Sandra Bullock plays a high fuctioning autistic. Although this is never stated!!! You know, there are so many autistic people in the world now, that this movie is actually a good idea... She wants to lead a so called normal life with a boy friend, job, and home of her own but has difficulty with many things. One being that- what people actually say and what they mean are two different things. This is a comedy with a message. She is not the desperate girl critics paint her to be. I like that Steve sees this in the end and understands what a rat he has been. Happy ending-she finds others like herself...
the critics seemed to not care for this movie all that much under the wake of the blind side.i thought it was good and i liked sandra's goofy charecter.she makes crossword puzzles for a local paper til she gets fired.she still lives at home and she has no steady man or takes time to go on dates.her folks set her up with a guy that is friends of her parents(bradley cooper).she has an instant attraction.when they meet she tries to have sex with him before they got out on a date, until he gets a call and has to leave.he makes the mistake and tells her he wishes she can come along.hshe is not his type at all.when she gets fired she follows steve around the country.steve is a camera man for a vews crew.thomas hayden church's character meets mary he keeps encouraging mary to follow steve around and tekks her that steve is madly in love with her and is in denial even though steve wants nothing to do with her. it is one little adventure after another for mary.it has a few laughs and it is entertaining.Read full review
Well, here's the movie that won the Razzie award for the worst movie of the year. Sandra Bullock appeared in person to collect her statue and told everyone that they were harsh on the movie. You know what? She was right. This movie is NOT that bad. It's not fantastic either, but it was an enjoyable night infront of the TV. Bullock plays a crossword creator who is supposed to be "kooky" but comes across more as "mildly retarded" to be honest. She thinks a reporter called Steve likes her (thanks to one of Steve's workmates taking advantage of her gullible nature) so she follows him around the country while he is on various assignments. It's the usual "be who you are and don't change for anyone" tale, but it has some good laughs and a bit of heart too.(although not as much as it hopes it has) well worth a look, if you can ignore the bad press the movie gained.Read full review
She is hilarious in this, a character she makes funny and touching. Some very wise messages about some finding it's never wrong with being yourself.
