Alan Jackson has a beautiful voice! The hymns are meaningful. This album has 11 songs, while Volume I had 15 songs. Actually, I liked the song selection on Volume I better. It is more like a small country church to just have a piano or organ accompany the hymns, so it is realistic and lets Alan Jackson's clear, wonderful voice shine through. However, on another religious album I would love to see him accompanied by a full orchestra - a harp, trumpets, the works. His melodic voice deserves that.

I really enjoyed these hymns. Ones we have all heard and many of the most beautiful like " In the garden"and " How great though art". It's so nice to have them sung by a masculine male voice in a peaceful quiet way. No big orchestra or choir. A man and a guitar. Like singing to a child before bedtime. It puts you in the right frame of mind to be thoughtful and thankful.

Wonderful companion for Volume One, this CD is equally as good as the original. Each selection takes you back to your religious roots. Alan a rich voice delivers a stellar performance of every hymn. As a fan of the music of Alan Jackson you can be assured that the singer has been touched by the spiritual music included on the CD,.
