It's a great screen overall. Depending on what you're looking for. It can be BRIGHT and VIVID! It's super light, easy to move and saves desk space. On a budget; it's a great screen. I use mine for movies, games, and home work all of which it works great for. I had my last acer screen 8 years and it wouldn't die so I just decided to upgrade. Acer does make quality products for very affordable price. Spec wise, if you want the latest, greatest, absolute best picture; you can spend hundreds more But if you just want a awesome screen for a reasonable price, this one's for you. Only downside I can find with the monitor is looking from the sides the picture seems a bit washed out. BUT; that is the case with any LED; so I can't even dock the product for this. .

Well, first the monitor produces a great image, as long as your directly in front of it. However if you try to view it from the side or your viewing it above or below your line of sight, it looks quite washed out. Not normally a problem, except there is no way to tilt or rotate the screen. The base is a solid mount, For me, since my computer desk it a little lower than eye level, I had to wedge some pieces under the front feet of the monitor for the best view. I know it is an inexpensive monitor, but I thought at least I would be able to swivel the base. Other than that, it's a good monitor for the price.

I bought this monitor because I was budget minded. In this respect the G236HL delivered. The stand was difficult to fit. I had to push so hard that I was afraid I would break something. Compared to the Samsung monitors that we have at our office, the quality of the G236HL is inferior. The colors are not as vibrant. Legibility is good, though. Of course, this comparison is not completely fair because we paid more for the Samsungs. Thus follows: The Acer is a good value for the money. If you can afford to pay more, then I would recommend something else.

I got the monitor for $70. It's beautiful. The image quality is excellent. I upgraded from a 1680x1050. I instantly saw a great improvement. I just wish it had an hdmi connection port. But it's not a big deal. It's sti worth 5 stars.

Love this monitor, so much in fact I bought two! Set them both up in less then five minutes and they work flawlessly. (Btw I am not some guy that got paid to review these, I'm cheap... That's why I got these on sale XD worth it I'd say. Pros: great quality with 1M to 1 I believe Shipping was faster than expected Sturdy well built and designed Good refresh rate (60hz I believe) Color of image is actually better than a monitor I bought for like 300 bucks so good job. Cons: No mounting screw holes Stands are all it'll bent up due to shipping probably I just used a vice grip to Bend it back Viewing angles are absolutely terrible(it's an LCD after all) Trim is to wide, I use two of them so a small trim would be great No HDMI No speakers
