When the brake fluid starts boiling, it’s too late. Braking gives rise to high brake fluid temperatures. In extreme cases the fluid begins to boil and causes vapor or gas bubbles to form in the brake system. This vapor or gas can be compressed allowing the brake pedal to be pressed all the way to the floor but the vehicles braking system is not functioning properly.

Independent studies have shown that 7 out of 10 vehicles need new braking fluid. To maintain the functional reliability of brake systems, brake fluid must be changed according to the specifications of the vehicle manufacturer (quality and change interval). In race/track applications, it becomes even more critical that the brake fluid is routinely changed to maintain optimum performance.

For race applications, vehicle owners will often alternate fluid flushes between ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluids and ATE TYP200 Brake Fluid (Amber color). The identical specifications of the fluid and color difference make it easy to know when the old fluid is completely flushed out of the system.

Features and Benefits of ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid:
  • DOT 4 – Quality proven millions of times

  • Color: Blue – makes bleeding brakes easier

  • Ideal for race use, excellent choice for street driven vehicles as well

  • ATE Super Blue Racing is perfect for vehicles built in 1990 or later (Vehicles that was built before 1990 we recommend you use ATE G DOT3 or ATE SL DOT4)

  • Non-foaming when filling and bleeding the brake system

  • Minimal drop in boiling point due to outstanding water binding properties

  • Dry Boiling point = min 280°C (536°F) – temperature at which a brake fluid will boil in its virgin non-contaminated state, highest temperature Dry Boiling Point available in a DOT 3 fluid is 572°F

  • Wet Boiling point = min 196°C (388°F) – temperature a brake fluid will boil after it has been fully saturated with moisture, DOT 3 requirement for wet boiling point is a minimum temperature of 284°F

  • Viscosity at -104°F: max 1,400 mm2/5

  • Designed to last up to 3 years under normal highway driving conditions
