Here is a nice decorative vintage cast iron door bell made by Sargent & Co.

It will fit up to a 1 3/4" door thickness.

The clappers work fine when you turn the knob, it doesn't have a bell tone, it kind of sounds like the sound of an old  wind up alarm clock when it went off.

There are no cracks or breaks.
