This is a nice antique fireplace mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
It is made of oak and is currently painted white.
The backsplash above the shelf is trimmed in egg and dart molding.
The shelf is supported by round columns topped with carved capitals.
It's a very nice looking mantel.
It measures 56.5 inches wide by 58 inches tall. It is 10.75 inches deep.
The firebox opening is 35.5 inches wide by 35.5 inches tall.
Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. There are a couple of chips on the shelf and it could use a good cleaning.. Please see the pictures carefully.

Terms of Sale
I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
