ANTIQUE FRANZ KUHLMANN DRAFTING TABLE AND MACHINE RARE TEXAS WILDFIRE SALE!!

This is the mother of all drafting tables!  KUHLMANN means German quality and German quality means HEAVY!  This titannic sized industrial machine has a tabletop measurement of 39 x 59 inches and stands 6 feet tall to the tip of the counterweighted drawing machine at a comfortable tilt.  Yes, that is a bed mattress on the floor next to it!  This colossus was made in the late 1940's to early 1950's in WILHELMSHAVEN, WEST GERMANY.  This table is in good used condition with excellent mechanicals, no broken or cracked parts and nothing is bent or warped out of shape.  The base is solid cast iron and features a solid cast concrete cylinder counterweight and foot operated brake release via knuckle-joints.  The drafting machine is also extremely heavy and built like a German Tiger tank, it weighs over 50 pounds alone!  Drafting machine is smooth and precise despite its weight because of the massive cast iron counterwight at the top.  This machine is painted in a green metallic hammerite which looks nice but it does have some rubbing, nicks, scratches and very fant signs of oxidation peaking through the paint.  The full length tool tray is solid and original and in well used condition also. I have one of the rule scales for the drafting machine but the other was never included when I bought this and will have to be found or substituted.  I used this machine for about 12 years for various design projects in my custom jewelry career and I added the pencil check strip along the lower edge of the table.  The wood top has two sheets of green matboard over the top to draw on because someone started to refinish the top and never finished it and I just never had the time so the next owner might want to invest some time and refinish the wood.  I can not justify keeping this huge table anymore, I already have another table in another room that does not require climbing stairs to get to and this one is so heavy that moving it again gives chills.  The table weighs in at about 400+ pounds so if your gonna buy this bring a big truck and lots of help!  I will not ship this or let a shipper come pick it up without the owner who pays for it.  The table is a stunning piece of European Industrial style and these are HARD to find in the US and CANADA.  EBAY is full of Hamiltons and Maylines but just try to find KUHLMANN of any kind on the internet at all!  These machines where for the German heavy industry and not an export product so very few made it here and most of them that have are damaged, this one can be used right now and looks classy as hell.
