AMERICAN FLYER 561 DIESEL HORN BILLBOARD

Our example grades as C6 "very good" because of the usual nicks and scratches resulting from previous usage. It is a Type II variation. The unit has been thoroughly reconditioned and comes with our one year guarantee.

General information about these pieces:
The 561 billboard was manufactured in 1955 and 1956. They were non-illuminated and came with a metal housing including the billboard surround.
There were three variations. Type 1 featured a steam loco passing over an Alco PA Santa Fe loco. These units featured a light green base. Type 2
was identical except for a dark green base. Type 3 had a billboard scene of an Santa Fe Alco PA pulling a freight train through the desert. All 3
variations trade at the same price.
