At last! Every episode of Frost. On 2 or 3 dics the video was not what I would say is good. If it continued on every disc I was going to be a very irate customer. I can live with the 2 or 3 that were sketchy. Overall the video and sound on the balance of the discs was very good. Buyers should be aware that only Region 1 discs will play on North American market CD players. Overall I am happy with the collectioon I bought. Really great disc folder and box.

The picture Quality is not good. The picture looks a poor 480P Quality. The Casing is difficult to get disks in and out without potential scratching. Two disks on top of each for every disk holder. It was fairly cheaply priced compared to other British mysteries. But the quality of picture makes me to not want to recommend the product to other potential buyers. The episodes themselves have good reviews on the internet.

We thoroughly enjoy "A Touch of Frost." The story lines are good and keep our interest and the characters are terrific. The BBC shows are great. It's great to see characters with flaws but still are great at what they do. We do sometimes have to use the CC to catch the dialog but it's generally not too bad. Highly recommend.

A friend had lent me the complete series. Since I like watching mysteries multiple times, I was so glad to be able to find a seller who offered this series at such a good price. One can get into the everyday life of Frost - really, he's very much like a Banty Rooster. If he wasn't so good with his analytical mind, an ego that makes him persistent in his cases, and luckily, at the end everyone associated with him realizes he gets the job done. Good thing DCI Mullet is somewhat a milk-toast - as he knows his glory is only puffed up because of Frost's intuitive ways. Changing Frost's subordinates throughout the series, brings fresh blood to the stories.

Having recently heard of this wonderful character, and already being a huge fan of Foyle's War and George Gently, I invested in the complete set. In "Jack" Frost, we have another older detective who is a widower, slightly irascible but with a big heart, mentoring a young detective. I've only begun, but already I can see that issues of social injustice are being brought to light and the moral values of the characters inspected. The British mysteries are so good at looking deeper than the superficial motive-method-opportunity in their crime solving - bringing to light the experiences that shape lives, the passions that drive us, and the societal issues that impact us. I highly recommend A Touch of Frost - you will find it addictive.
