 SUBFRAME ONLY, BIKE NOT INCLUDED!

This auction is for a bolt on subframe to convert your 81-83 Yamaha xv920,xv920r, xv750 or TR1 from the laid back cruiser to an agressive cafe racer style bike. I have spent months designing this to make it high quality and a bolt on unit that the average guy can install. This auction is for the subframe, welded in battery box, bottom pan, tail light/plate mount and the rear tank lift. All the hardware is included. Parts are lasercut and tig welded. I designed this kit to use the stock xv920 or xv750 tanks, the lift raises the rear of the tank to make a straight line back and keeps the use of all the rubber mounts. The battery box is set up to use a small 12 cell lithium ion battery with 360cca, plenty for any size virago, made by Antigravity batteries and available thru the company or my Friends at Dime City Cycles http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-electronic-parts-large-sealed-12v-antigravity-battery-ag-1201.html  or  http://antigravitybatteries.com/?page_id=994  You will need to add a 6" ground cable and a 21" positive cable avail at http://www.mikesxs.net/products-32.html#products or from your local auto parts store. I have made this seat from Dime City Cycles http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-chassis-seat-parts-black-dcc-originals-leather-wrapped-one-up-racing-seat-dcc-lwrapcafe.html a direct bolt on, they have a fresh batch due in any day. Or you could use the motolanna seat, http://www.motolanna.com/ourshop/prod_1910098-Seat-Cafe-Racer-v20.html It will fit the frame but the mounts/bolt holes are slightly different so you may have to modify the mounting holes  a little. The tail light mount is set up to use a small cateye led light which is also avail here http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-lighting-parts-thin-red-led-chrome-cats-eye-taillight-25-6605.html  It is 4" wide by 1.25" tall, also avail aftermarket from other suppliers as well.

This subframe kit is designed to be simple bolt on. I will be posting a video on installation soon on my website although it is pretty self explanatory. I will also try to include how to trim and keep your stock battery box bottom to mount the suspension adjuster, starter selenoid and brakelight switch. This is done with a simple modification of cutting and sanding your original battery mount. I am working on speedo mounts now which will be avail soon as well as a help video from start to finish.

So take one stock monoshock framed virago, add my subframe, along with the suggested seat, tail light, battery and cables. Then clipons or clubmans, rearsets. You've just created a kick ass bike. Here's a link to my site with a few bikes I've created for the Caferacer TV show on Velocity. www.docschops.net  And here http://www.choppershotz.com/Motorcycles/82-Virago-920/20572365_6TZ9ZK#!i=1630051294&k=cW322Gj

As with any mod to your bike, you are ultimately responsible for doing it right and accept the liability of altering it from stock I will ship worldwide.

I have several of these ready to go but depending on demand it may take a week or two to ship as once the first batch is gone, I will be building them to meet supply and will email you to let you know when it is shipped so please be patient, I will get it to you as soon as possible. If this first batch sells too fast I will relist and build them to order, expect around 2 weeks before being shipped in that case.

The seat height using the Dime City seat and lowering the front forks 1.5 inches is about 29.5 inches

If you have any questions please ask, Thanks for looking!
