For sale is my 1969 Dodge Super Bee project. Miles on odometer show an original 87,953, title shows 97K because I forgot mileage & had to guess at the DMV. This car has been a labor of love for me. It was found in a local junkyard & it was wrecked back in 1974 so it was only on the road for 5 years! I dont deny it looks like crap BUT it has a solid & straight frame, decent floors & main trunk pan. It took me 4 years to collect the needed parts & it took parts from at least 7 cars! A full, frame off resto was going to cost too much so my plan was to put it together with no attention to outside appearance & make a Joe Dirt car with all new running gear. These rat rod muscle cars are becoming more popular beacuse the costs of restoring a classic has become out of reach of the common man. Where is that fair Hot Rod magazine? Every one of those profiled cars is somebodys 100K wet dream. I stopped because of problems w/my drivetrain & now you have the chance to purchase & finish the job.
You think this is just some car I dragged out of the woods & stuck on ebay? Wrong. It has all new factory heavy duty 11" brakes: factory bent lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake pads & hardware kits. Many new steering parts. A new gas tank & sending unit. All wiring was cleaned & re-installed. There are new rear shocks. Red line tires on 15X5.5" wheels. It has a 8 3/4" rear end with the 742 code. I have done much of the hard work: if you dont mind the ugly its ready for an engine & transmission right now. Parts installed are heavy rust free & as straight as I could afford. I installed the correct coupe glass in the doors, the parts are the best available, are installed correctly, are chip free & work flawlessly. Rear glass is beautiful as is the quarter glass. Trunk lid, hood, fenders & doors were the best I could locate & they were not installed willy nilly: I used original fasteners & put it together w/the best of my ability. The hood, trunk & doors open & close with no issues: the damage to the body did not affect these areas buy some mirracle. I have put several 68-70 B-bodys together & being the latest, its the greatest. If its not your prefrence to install new parts on a beat up body consider this a mock-up with several expensive items provided.
Floor pan under the drivers & passengers feet is solid, There are managable holes in the rear floor boards but not under the seat. The trunk pan is pretty decent except for the outer edges. Full quarters will be needed as well as the tail light panel: everything is re-popped by AMD. There are a few rust holes under the battery tray on the frame, there is also one where the brake proportioning valve mounts. There is no doubt you will be replacing many body parts but you can repair rather than replace the frame rust, unless you are a perfectionist but if you are you should probably save your money & buy somewhere else.
Unfortunately ebay allows only 24 photos. I took 50. I hope to not have to send everyone that asks 25+ photos but if you request certain areas I will accomodate. Read the description & look at the photos carefully before asking questions. I will be posting answers to the questions, as the auction progresses these will show up at the bottom of the listing. Read them before asking your question as somebody may have already asked the same thing. There is a reserve. I will not sell the car outright to anyone, so please dont ask. The reserve is probably higher than you think but it will be lower than the average price. Check ebay for recently sold Super Bees in this condition. Im not going to give this car away & dont need the money: its only going to increase in value & I have plenty of indoor storage. On the other hand, Im not a complete ass & think this is worth a fortune: I know there needs to be room for the expensive resto.
The windshield needs replacing & the vin was impossible to read thru the fog but I did manage to get a photo & turn it over, on close inspection you should see: WM21H967289

Buyers without paypal accounts can't bid. Buyers with 5 feedbacks or less must contact me before making a bid or they will be removed. Selling a vehicle on ebay is expensive & time consuming so please take the auction seriously. For instance: ask your wife/partner if its ok to bid, check your current saving balance, upcoming bills, check shipping cost before hand, etc. DO NOT ASK ME TO REMOVE A BID, YOU MADE IT, SO DO IT YOURSELF. I require a non-refundable paypal payment of only $250. within 24 hrs of auctions end so I know you are 100% serious about owning the car. I know most bidders wait until the last minute to bid/buy so I know you are at your computer when the auction ends: Take a moment to make the deposit right away. This will get my attention & help me know you are 100% serious about your bid & interested in & looking forward to owning the vehicle. I figure after 24hrs without the deposit you are not serious & at that time the car will be offered to the 2nd high bidder. The car is being sold as is, where is, with no warrenty expressed or implied.
I have done my best to describe the vehicle honestly & to the best of my ability but I may have missed something you wish to know so please feel free to ask. If you want to speak on the phone or see the car in person write me. Buying a car online can be a scary experience if you get the wrong kind of seller. I want to ease your fears & let you know that after payment I wont forget you: I will still be here after the auction to help you get the car delivered, answer your questions, send paperwork, etc. Simply said: I will help you thru the process & make it as painless as possible. In addition to a great project you will get a CLEAR VA title in my name & a matching bill of sale. You pick a shipping service, they call me & you get your car, its pretty easy. If you wish to pick the car up, or drive it home I will be there for you as well. Thanks in advance for your bid/purchase, my goal is to make this transaction as pleasant & trouble free as possible.
