These speaker stands are comparable to all the other Chinese-made ones. Light aluminum and sturdy construction for not too heavy loads. These here extended are not as high as other ones, but they compensate it with the mounting plate that comes with the package to be screwed on permanently on a speaker box. I use them with LED spots and/or PA speakers for our theater plays and choir concerts.. As long as you take care of them - not throw them around or have them rough handled during transport etc. - they should last a long time. Advice: drill a hole through the rubber feet into the aluminum and put a small metal screw to be sure not to lose the rubber over time. Conclusion: For that money - I paid $18.00 shipping included (how do they do that ???) these stands are excellent and I absolutely recommend them for karaoke, salesmen, weekend groups, weddings, parties and the list goes on.Read full review

Although the package box is the flimsiest corrugated paper I've ever seen, it arrived torn and in tatters in its travel from California to Wisconsin, the contents were undamaged! YMMV. I must say, I am very pleased with my purchase. I used them for some Bose 301s at an Open Mic and they worked fantastic. I got several complements regarding how nice the setup looked. And, because they are light weight, they are easy to haul--love that! In fact, I have some very heavy duty stands that are a real pain to move and are ugly--that's why I purchased these. I have some speakers that are a little heavier, that I'm sort of hesitant to try. So, I would not recommend these for speakers weighing much more than 15lbs. The fact that these come with the speaker flange/mounting bracket sealed the deal for me. Bose 301s are home speakers and as such, don't have the cups for mounting on a stand. In addition, the flange has a screw to hold it firmly to the stand. The fit and finish was very good. Nice powder coat finish and the mechanisms all worked perfectly. Kind of hard to believe that you can get such a nice setup for this price (including delivery)! I am easy on all my gear--if you take care of it, it will take care of you. If you are rough on gear, don't buy these--you'll be disappointed. They are light-duty and could get dented from rough handling. I expect mine to last for years--I see no flaws in the manufacturing, and the engineering is good.Read full review

These are definitely not "heavy duty", but they will do the job for a small to midsize speaker. I would hesitate to use them with my 15 inch speakers, but they should be just fine with 10 inch ones. For $30 per pair, you can't expect them to compete with the top dollar ones.

I needed a secure stand that would not 'fall over' and a speaker stand was the only option. Jus apply double sticky velcro to the mixer and flat top of the stand. When finished remove mixer from the stand and throw it into the carrying bag which provides plenty of other room for microphone stands or our 4' band banner housed in a 4"x48" shipping tube.
