For a fast economical way of drilling up to 4 inch deep holes, try the 1 inch Milwaukee Auger Bit with a threaded feed screw and two sharp cutting spurs. A 7/16 inch hex shank provides a sure grip in 1/2 or larger drills. Bit can be re-sharpened when necessary.
