I just received my pole today & recently put it together! I don’t have a DVD player to watch the instructional video on how to put it together but I found a great video on YouTube! Setting up was easy. I’ve only tried using the pole itself 2x... and I’ve have to keep adjusting it because it was wiggley. I think this product would work better on a hard floor surface, I am using carpeted floor right now. As I kept adjusting the pole it is wiggling less. Hopefully I find the perfect spot to tighten it at for no movement from the pole at all. I’m still being cautious when testing it out! I would still recommend this pole.

Today is the fifth time my pole has gone crooked and I’ve had to reinstall it. I’ve watched countless videos and used the directions to install it, and, still, it’s not safe. It will be fine for a few days, but I believe it’s loosing when it’s spinning because it keeps ending up loose on the ceiling. It also doesn’t even work in static mode because, if you do even the slightest move, it goes back into spinning mode. Do not buy this. It’s not safe and a waste of money and time.

It's a lot sturdier than I expected. Spins smoothly when unlocked - you can lock it for static. I'm very happy with the pole. NOTE: My room has very thick carpeting and a very thick pad so the top was slipping -- which is to be expected with a portable pole. I.e. these portable poles are NOT supposed to be installed on thick carpeting. To make it work on thick carpet, I drilled two holes in the top plate (wide plate that goes to the ceiling). The holes are directly across from each other and near the edges of the plate. Then I used two #12 - 3" wood screws to attach the plate into a beam. It doesn't move at all now. Use a "stud finder" to locate the beams (or joists).

Excellent pole, comes with absolutely everything needed for a professional grade experience. Everything fits very tightly together, and the tools provided are enough to get everything very snug. Instructional booklet includes a link to a video as well, easy installation. We have this pole in our apartment on a carpet floor, and even with the carpet the pole feels VERY secure. Supports my 115lb girlfriend no problem in all sorts of poses and positions, and I didn't feel like I was in any danger either messing around on it as a 155lb man. Spins very nicely and smoothly, and can also be used in a fixed or non-spinning position if desired If you have super thick carpet, consider placing down one of those hard/stiff plastic floor mats that they use for rolling office chairs. Although again, on our carpet this really doesn't seem necessary at all.Read full review

Perfect buy! The instructions are terrible. I had to YouTube multiple videos to figure out the black part extends and that there’s an extra piece you access by unscrewing from inside one of the poles that I thought was missing at first. BUT the pole is so sturdy and dependable easy set up once I figured it out. I’m a small woman about 126 lbs and I put it up with myself and a bar stool. If you’re looking stop looking this is the one ! I bought it as a bday gift to myself and I’m happy I went went this company !
