I needed two for a fireplace insert, but the spacing was tight. The Philips soft-whites fit and produced the same color as the blunt-nose candelabra incandescents. The LED's T-shaped element looks like a frozen-cyclone in three dimensions, attractive. The 2,700K light is warm but still bright, cozy. The E12 (Edison 12 millimeters) candelabra screw base has comparable rills. To compare dimensions of the blunt-nose tapered bulbs (C11 shape, aka torpedo or bullet): Incandescent, 120 volt 40 watt length, 3 11/16 inches (overall) width, 1 1/4 inches (widest) length of the clear bulb, 3 inches Philips LED, 120 volt, 4.5 watt length, 4 inches (overall) width, 1 7/16 inches (widest) length of the clear portion, 2 inches Tips. If you need a bent, flame-like tip, look for a CA11 bulb shape ("11" measures the width in eighths of an inch; 9 is narrower, 15 is wider). For more of a flicker style, look for an F bulb shape.Read full review
