TEXAS - 1964 Governor Connally license plate - JFK collectible - AUTHENTIC

Offering some nice plates up to make room for my collection - condition of item offered is as shown - original unless otherwise noted! All of my offered license plates are expired and are at least 3 years old in compliance with Ebay listing guidelines. They are not valid for use on any vehicle and are to be used for display or collectable purposes only.

TEXAS 1964 Governor's License Plate - from the car of the late Governor John Connally.  Governor Connally was in the front seat of the ill-fated JFK limousine in November of 1963.  This is not the limo plate from that vehicle (which was a standard series DC plate number GG-300), this is the "timeline issue" that would have been issued (or shortly issued thereafter) the time of the assassination in Dallas, Texas in 1963. 

This is not one of the bogus novelty plates that clog the eBay marketplace with sad-looking characters on a flat litho plate - it is the authentic plate, issued by the state of Texas in late 1963.  SO-1 was the plate used by the Governor (State Official number 1), and this plate is in good, used ORIGINAL condition as shown.  Embossed steel, white on black paint, with '64 date and star divider.

Reserve reflects the rarity of this issue, but is less than the selling price of my similar-era Maine Tribal Rep plates from a few months ago - this is one of my key collection pieces, and I'm offering it (and many of the #1 plates shown in the gallery photo) to make room for some of my other collections.
