Plastic-Lipped Striper Minnow Plugs
These plugs are manufactured in Pennsylvania, USA. These are the exact same plugs that are sold under several different well-known brand names for stripers, for muskie and pike, but they are all made the same way in the same factory, out of the same molds of the same plastic material with the same painting/finishing process. The one real difference is the brand name lures are sold in $7 to $9 dollars range whereas the lures here will cost you much less.
They are tough injection-molded hard plastic lures with loud fish-calling rattles inside. The plastic lip is molded as part of the body which make the lip more durable and perfectly-aligned for proper swimming action every time. It has none of the weaknesses of lures where the lip is glued-in or screwed on as a separate part.
Effective for striped bass and for almost every kind of fresh and saltwater gamefish, including the toothiest critters.
Excellent producer of striped bass, bluefish, weakfish, snook, tarpon, sea bass, corvina, peacock bass, musky, pike, monster brown trout, huge largemouth bass, giant walley, and most any gamefish that prowls shallow water or the shoreline anywhere. The appealing baitfish shape, profile and colors mimic most baitfish species in oceans, rivers and lakes all across the world. Works excellent in all types of waters. Works equally well in flat calm water or moving water whether there's current, tide, waves or flat calm, this lure works.
But this lure is most popular for striped bass fishing, and it is equally as productive for stripers when fished slowly at night as it is during the day.
A shallow swimmer, it typically dives 1 to 3 feet deep, depending on current. Just reel one in, and it has its own built-in action with an awesome body-rolling, side to side tail-wiggling action that throws off lots of belly flashing and vibrations like a disoriented, distressed big baitfish. Has a slow rise when paused. It float at rest and is excellent to twitch on the surface for explosive strikes.
For striper surf and bay fishing, plastic minnows of this style are usually cast with spinning tackle. Lures of this type are difficult to cast with conventional rods and reels.
