I feel the need to write this review because I've seen some bad reviews/complaints about low bass and how the sound isn't any better than the TV speakers. This is absolutely not true and must be due to user error, a defective sound bar or subwoofer. I've been asked to turn the volume down by other people in my house and it wasn't even turned half way up. This thing is loud. I have it in my bedroom and it is way more than I need. It's more suited for a living room but I still enjoy it very much. I do have it hooked up to a Sony 40R510C TV, and you do have to use the sound bar remote for most things even with Bravia Sync. This is just a minor inconvenience to me. The TV is on a stand but the sound bar is wall mounted so I don't know if it would block the tv remote signal. Just looking at it, it appears that it would. I also have an Xbox One connected to the sound bar. The HDMI cables for the cable box and Xbox connect to the sound bar and then the HDMI ARC on the TV is connected to the sound bar. So all signals run through the sound bar before they reach the TV. There is no lag or delay in sound that I have noticed. This thing is great for music, tv, movies or gaming. I do all this and am not disappointed.

Plug & Play - Works Great
This Sony Sound Bar fits perfectly with a Sony 60 inch 4K TV sitting on its' legs. There is no great booming sound difference, but the real advantage is watching with the TV speakers "OFF". The TV speakers are mounted on the rear of the TV and depend upon "bouncing" the sound off the wall behind it, into the viewing room. However, this puts the sound energy into the wall, making the sound heard "loud & clear" throughout the house. The wall becomes the speaker. With the Sound Bar, the speakers are front mounted, projecting the sound directly toward the audience, but at a reduced required volume level. The house is quiet again.
